On Saturday morning, hubby and I had planned to wake up at 5.30am and leave home at 6.30am to take mrt to airport. However, we kinda overslept and only managed to leave at 7am. It decided to rain super heavily and we had no choice but to use taxi apps instead of walking out to hail a taxi.
Had breakfast at the airport and were served by a disgruntled aunty behind the counter at CBTL. She was angry, showed a black face and was grumbling all the way. Honestly, both hubby and I were really shocked - coz well, we expected better service than that (especially when it was at the airport and tourists are expected to show up all day!) However, I smiled at her and said thank you to her pretty sweetly. Hubby was unhappy that I still treated her so nicely though. Hmmm I really hope her day will take a turn for the better and she won't upset any tourists.
Above was what we ate before our flight.
Upon arriving at KLIA, we saw a bright pink counter right after the immigration and got our KLIA express train tickets there. Though the lady at the counter told us to go out and turn left, then take a lift (only) down to the platform, we realised later that she was WRONG!!! We actually had to turn right and instead of lift (which was not working), we went down the escalator.
We were both impressed with the train - it was spacious, clean and travelled very quickly. It took us only 20mins to reach KL Sentral station. When we reached KL Sentral, we walked through NU Sentral before reaching the monorail station.
Just follow the signs... |
Once you see this counter, you are on the right track |
Purchased our tickets here, for monorail to Bukit Bintang |
Seeing the exterior of the hotel, plus the lobby (with lotsa construction/ renovation going on), I was really worried for the rooms! However, the executive room we booked turned out to be quite pretty!
At the end of the two nights stay, other than afew ants we spotted on the table top and three wormies swimming in the shower area, the stay was quite alright.
